UTP Transceiver Hub
The HubWayLD16i from Altronix provides 16 camera channels to transmit UTP video, RS-422/RS-485 data and power over a single Cat-5 or higher structured cable, all contained in a space-saving 1U EIA 19-inch rack-mount chassis. The device can transmit video up to 3,000 feet per channel. It has individually selectable 24-volt or 28-volt isolated PTC protected outputs rated at 1a. Other features include an "off" position, an AC input power indicator, and video signal and power LED indicators.

The cable is designed to meet the requirements of proposed TIA-568-B.2-10 standard for Augmented Category 6, supporting IEEE 10GBASE-T out to 100 meters. The design incorporates four twisted pairs cabled with three monofilament elements to ensure a completely round cross-section. The geometry and pair configuration create a significantly reduced cable diameter while preserving alien crosstalk performance.
