    The MobileSearch High Energy cargo and vehicle inspection system combines high-energy transmission X-ray and Z Backscatter X-ray technology to detect threats and contraband including weapons, explosives, drugs and currency. High-energy transmission X-ray generates high- penetration and high-resolution images for the inspection of densely loaded cargo, with a typical penetration of more than 12 inches with steel.

        The Z Gantry multiview Z Backscatter cargo and vehicle screening system from American Science and Engineering is a bidirectional scanning platform that operates in a gantry configuration by moving on rails past stationary vehicles and cargo to produce Z Backscatter images from three sides. The system is designed to inspect cargo and vehicles for stowaways, explosives and other contraband.

          GE Security’s StreetLab Mobile is a portable and user-friendly device that identifies a broad range of liquid, powder and solid substances. The unit uses wireless technology to quickly deliver results to remote command centers. It can detect about 1,000 chemical and toxic industrial substances as well as a number of biological agents. The StreetLab uses Raman spectroscopy to identify substances based on their molecular structure.
